The Story of Tesla
Children's Immersive Theater
A coproduction of Pinecone Theater and Čiča Mičino pozorište
Pinecone Theater opens a new chapter for the youngest audiences. In coproduction with Čiča Mičino pozorište, we present "Laza lutalica — The Story of Tesla", an immersive theater journey for up to 25 children per show.
Immersive, in its literal meaning "to submerge", means the child doesn't sit in the audience — they are inside the world of the show. Surrounded by scenography and in close proximity to the actors, the child moves through a space where colors, materials, scents, tastes, and sounds all come alive.
The show can become an interactive game, but only as much as the child wishes to participate — with no pressure, freedom of choice, and curiosity as the guide.
Through the character of Laza and his journey, the show — inspired by Tesla's life and ideas — brings science closer to children as a space of discovery and imagination, with a clear message about the importance of developing authenticity and personal creativity.
I don't mind that they stole my ideas. I mind that they didn't have their own.— Nikola Tesla
Children enter independently, while parents can wait at the bar, where they will be served complimentary tea.
